Penn Fraser Jillette and Raymond Joseph Teller – Not your ordinary magicians

Magicians are interesting people having more interesting jobs. It fascinates everyone how they successfully trick the public with their so called magical acts. We all know that everything has to do with smokes and mirrors but it still excites us to watch magic shows, especially when we cannot catch the trick of the magician.
Two of the most popular magicians in Las Vegas, and even in the entire world are Penn Fraser Jillette and Raymond Joseph Teller, the duo otherwise known as Penn and Teller. What is more fascinating about these two magicians is that not only are their magic tricks simply amazing, what is even amazing is that they live off exposing the magic tricks of their co-magicians. They are fun, witty and hilarious all at the same time. It is like watching a comedy gig with lots of magic stunts or magic tricks expose in between.
The two started working together in August of 1975. Penn was the more vocal one even back then. Teller is the one doing the mime in the act. The two was already featured in a lot of television shows including Saturday Night Live, Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today and Late Night with Conan O’ Brien, just to name a few. They also starred in their own TV shows like Penn and Teller Go Public and Bullshit. In the latter TV show, they not only did magic tricks and made people laugh with their hilarious antics; they are also able to tackle political and social issues such as gun control, drugs, weight loss Feng Shui and environmental issues.
When asked why their tandem lasted for so long, Penn told the public that he has little in common with Teller in real life. Off stage, they give as much space to each other as possible. They enjoy working together but their personal life does not mingle much with their successful career.
